Our Day At Lagoon

Brayden told his friends we were going on a small vacation to Chicago, but really we were only going to Lagoon for a day. I don't know were he got that, but I thought it was funny. When we were at the Carnival, a lady I didn't even know and still don't know her name, offered us free tickets to Lagoon. We took them and on Wed spent the day riding ride after ride. The kids loved it. The water park was freezing, even in the 97 degree heat we didn't like being in the water. However, Kate enjoyed that water, even through she was shaking.

Brayden liked the rides, but when we were driving to Lagoon Scott was telling Brayden about the bumper cars and that was all he wanted to do when we arrived. Well, we found the bumper cars, but he was too little to go on then and he was sooo disappointed. But when we were walking out to leave we found the kid bumper cars and he was so excited. He went crazy bumping into everyone.

Of coarse, Brayden loved playing the games that cost more money.

Kate loved all the rides she could go on. She went on the PUFF dragon roller coaster and loved it! I thought this pictures was cute of her putting her hands in the air. Brayden was doing it, so she did it. No fear for her!

At the end of the day the kids and I were ready to go home!!! But thanks to the lady who gave us the tickets - maybe the carnival wasn't as big of a rip-off as I thought!

Strawberry Days

The Rodeo

This year we decided to take the kids to see the Rodeo, Brayden LOVED it. Kate lost interest after the first 10 min.

Brayden loved the music, and jammed out to it. He also loved the motor-cross that performed. I not sure how motorcycles are related to the Rodeo, but this was something new this year and it was cool to watch (better than the bulls). After watching them Brayden said to me "I can't wait until I can do that". Sorry to tell you bud, but your mom won't let you EVER do that.

The Carnival
I don't know why we take the kids every year to the biggest rip-off ever, the Carnival, but we do. Mostly cause I think we have made it a tradition and the kids LOVE IT!!

This was Kate's first year she could ride and she got so excited. She would stand in line and yell and all the other kids riding the rides.

And the best part was to watch Bradyen help Kate get on and off the rides. He wouldn't let the worker help.

A Day Out

On Wednesday we took the kids to eat and explore the gardens at Tahitian Noni.

We Want Grass

Scott was working on the yard this week and the kids loved helping (mostly riding on the tractor). I hope to be posting more pictures of yard working being done soon!?!? I can't wait to have grass!

Our silly little Family

Lately when we tell the kids to smile they get these silly grins on there faces. I know they think they are smiling big, but I like their normal smiles better! Oh well. This picture was taken after we ate at the Mayan, (Thanks to Mary and Loren) that is why Scott's shirt is wet. The kids loved the divers and Indiana Jones!!

Kate As Napoleon Dynamite

So I was cleaning out my closet today and when I was done I found Kate cleaning out her own closet and she had dressed herself. (I did have to zip up her jacket). She found the snow boots and fell in loved with them, she even took her nap in them because she would take them off. (Bobbi these are the snow boots you gave me like 3 years ago.)

Brayden's Testimony

So Brayden suprised us on Sunday and asked if he could bear is testimony in sacrament meeting. We told him he would have to go up by himself. And to our suprise he walked up to the stand, sat on a chair and waiting for his turn. When he got to the mic he didn't even hesitate.

This is what he said: I'd like to bear my testimony, I know the church is true, I know President Monson is our prophet, I know Jesus is the only man .......(he had to think for a while)..... with the power. In the name of Jeus Christ. Amen.

I was so proud of him.

Happy Birthday Mary

We went out to PF Changs and celebrated Mary's birthday last week. The food was wonderful ( I hadn't ate there for a while) and the kids got to enjoy Gransma for a while. Thanks Mary for all you do for our family. Brayden and Kate always love Grandma's house and will jump at any chance to go there (and then fight me when it time to go). We love You !!!!!!!

So, the kids got a little restless inside, but sure enjoyed outside.
