My New Hobby

A few weeks ago I was talked into going mountain biking with Andrea and my neighbor. I didn't think I would like it, but 2 days after that I went mountain biking with Scott for our date night and now I have bought a bike of my own. I Love it. I am still a little (okay a lot) scared on the down hill and Scott laughs/gets mad at me, but I will improve hopefully. Scott has been mountain biking for a couple of years now and when he comes homes he always says "I wish you could see it, it's so fun." While now I can, it's great to spend time with him and a nice change from dinner and movie date night.

This Is Why You Shouldn't Swear

Sooo, a few weeks ago our neighbor was out washing his car and Brayden went over and started talking to him. I kept telling him to come back, but he was having a good time talking, so I let him stay and talk. He was gone for 30 to 45 min and then came home. Just a few days ago my neighbors wife and I were talking and she stated that Brayden says the funniest things. I kind of got nervous. She went on to say that Brayden told her husband that day, that "his mom just swore". I immediately got embarrassed and said "I do say a word I probably shouldn't say every once in awhile". She went on to say that Brayden said, "My mom just said the S word". Now I was really embarrassed and probably turned red, cause I don't say that word or at least I didn't think I said that word. I was thinking hard, what happened that I would say that word and how does Brayden know that is a swear word or how does he even know that word? Well, my neighbor went on to say that Brayden said, "My mom just said Stupid." I just smiled and had to laugh, cause if I never did swear (I only say Hell and Dam) I wouldn't have had to get embarrassed. I guess I have to say thanks Brayden, for teaching me a lesson!!

The Larsen Round-up

This last weekend we attended the Larsen reunion. It was great to see everyone and we had sooo much fun. It was at Palisade States Park were we played in the water.......

Brayden loved to swim out to the dock and jump into the water. He did flips and all kind of tricks. Kate loved the dirt, swimming with Missy and relaxing with her bottle.

Had a potato derby.................

Everyone made cars out of potato's and raced them, Brayden named his car Lighting Bolt. He got 1st in the first race, but lost in the other. All the kids loved it and it was fun to see how creative they were.

Hula Hoop contest...........

Remember when you were little and kept that thing going for hours, why is it that when you get older that doesn't work anymore? We decided it was because we didn't have flat belly's anymore? Kate loved it and was really good too!?!?

And just enjoyed being around family and having a good time. Thanks to everyone who made it a success!!!!

Other things we did was decorated bags, play baseball, building tower contest (each person got two sheets of paper and 24 in of tape and had to build a tower. The highest was 91 inchs tall), played with Bobbi's dog, and relaxed!!

4th of July

I know that the 4th was a while ago, but I thought I would post what we did. I forgot to take my camera, so no pictures just words. For the 4th we had a camp out in Mary and Loren's back yard. It was lots of fun and the kids loved being with their cousins for a straight 24 hours. We played volleyball even us girls (I guess it was just Julie and I) got in on the action and it was lots of fun (I was sore the next day though). The kids enjoyed water activities, bounce house and just being at Grandpa and Grandma's house. That night we came home and did fire works in the street with our neighbors. This was Kates reaction to the Fireworks........
