The Geo Club

Today Brayden and his friends were playing and next thing I heard was pounding on the cement. When I went to check on them, they told me they had found Geo's and for the next 2-3 hours they were entertain with finding Geo's .

Here are the steps of Geo hunting

First, you go to the gavel pit and look for the best rocks, and use your shirt to collect them.

Next you take the rock to the cement and with a hammer pound until the rock breaks.

And once your rock breaks, you look inside and if you see something you think is cool, you discover a GEO!!!

Here's Bailey telling the kids what a Geode really is, however they did NOT believe her and made it be known that they had discovered Geo's and even diamonds too.!!! I love the imaginations of kids and its amazing how its the little things like rocks that can entertain them for hours.

Cousins are the Best

Kate and Brayden has been blest with awesome cousins (on both the Scholes and Bishop side). Brayden loves to play with all his cousins and thinks of them as his best friends. Kate loves her older cousins (Melissa, Karly, Jocelyn, and Jaycee) who take good care of her and entertains her. (or maybe I love her cousins cause they give me a break from her). We always wonder who Katelyn is like, and as she gets older and we see Missy ......... this is who she takes after!!!!

Life at Grandpa's

For memorial weekend we went to Roosevelt and got to enjoy Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of days. As always the kids loved it.

However, the cat felt the most safe up on the wall were Kate couldn't get to it. Kate would say to it "get down". The cat would wait for her to leave and run.

Today Kate let me dress her cute. At first she wasn't that happy about it, but she left the clothes on all day!!! The pants are adorable (Jessi talked me into buying them, and I am glad she did).

Our Little Scholar

Brayden graduated from Little Scholar preschool today. It has been fun to see him grow and learn. He can say the Pledge of Allegiance, ABC's and their sounds, can read and sound out quite a few words. However, he also learned a lot about time-outs and class rules - little stinker. He did endure to the end though, there was many days that I was pushing him out the door and saying remember to have a good attitude. I'm proud of you Brayden and hoping for Kindergarten to go better!!!

Brayden with Miss S (Southworth). He loved having her as a teacher and today picked her flowers (weeds) to say thank you. She had a lot of patience with him.

The Three Amigo's

Brayden went to school with Kloey and Elyse, I agree with Andrea 3 Bishops is a lot for one teacher to handle. I enjoyed driving them and listening to their conversations. I'll always remember Kloey's storys and Elyse just wanting to play. Thanks girls for being Brayden's friends and letting me know how he did in class.

Getting up in front of people isn't that easy for Brayden and he did great. Better than the Christmas program where he stood in the back with his teacher and wouldn't sing.

He stood and invited the congregation to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Dollar Treasure

So I bought Brayden a Potato gun for a $1 at Target and it has entertained him for hours. He has had the best time with it. We have for sure got our dollars worth. Who said the best toys needed to be expensive?!! I would recommend all mom's of little boys to invest in one of these.

So, Monday was such a nice day, that when it came time for FHE we didn't want to be inside. So we went on a bike ride to the park and had our lesson there. Jared and Andrea's family came too, this was by far the best Brayden has ever been able to FOCUS (Sit still and listen) at FHE!!! Thanks girls.

Bring On The HOT

Brayden and the girls preparing for summer fun. The last few days the weather has been really nice and we have loved it!!!! Brayden had his last day of pre-school and will graduate tomorrow and we can't wait for summer: days of playing in the water, bike rides, being lazy, sun tans, playing with friends and playing with more friends. This time of year is the most fun for our family, so let our summer begin!!!!

Maybe Mom should have took the time to put a swim diaper on. It really bugged Kate that her diaper was falling apart.

Happy Brithday Scott

Yesterday Scott turned 31. He wanted to go on a hike with us, but it wasn't the best day to do that. So, we postponed the hike and instead we hung out, watched movies and ate strawberry shortcake! Real exciting? Anyway Happy Birthday Scott we love you! Thanks for being the best dad and husband ever.

Should I Buy Bradyen New Socks?

Looking at this pitcure you would think these are old socks. Nope, I just bought him a new package of sock a month ago and he only has 2 pairs left. I had to laugh, the other morning when I put Brayden socks on him there was only one very small hole in his toe of one sock and this is what his socks looked like at the end of the day. Socks for Brayden don't last long, they either come up missing or wear out way to fast.

Brayden's 4-wheeler

With the warm weather days starting, Brayden fired up his 4-wheeler. I can't believe how good he is. Kate also loves the 4-wheeler. I love the thumbs up, it reminds me of something he told me last week: I attended Women's Conference and President Monson was there. When I got home I told Brayden that I saw our prophet and that he waved to us then gave us the thumb's up. Brayden repsonsed by "Oh, ya he was pointing to Heaven." I just laugh at the way he thinks - I love it!
